How long does production take?
For custom sensu orders, production generally takes approximately one month or more after approval of the design proof (image sample).
We accept orders from 10 pieces.
For name printing or engraving on Ibasen’s Edo sensu, smaller quantities may be completed within 10 days to two weeks.
Lead times vary depending on the quantity ordered, so please feel free to contact us for details.
Personalised name printing is available from a single piece.

What is the price?
Pricing varies depending on the size of the fan.
For a standard paper sensu (7.5 sun, 35 ribs, Kyoto style), an order of 50 pieces starts from approximately JPY 2,800 per piece.
For fabric sensu, we accept small-lot orders from 10 pieces.
Depending on the quantity, the tailoring cost is approximately JPY 3,000 per piece.
Name printing or engraving is available from JPY 4,400 per piece.

Can you assist with design creation?
In principle, we ask that design data be supplied in Adobe Illustrator format.
For hand-drawn works such as brush paintings or illustrations, you may send us the original artwork or colour board.
We will digitise the material and prepare the print-ready data accordingly.
For name engraving on the guard rib, please also provide your logo data at the time of submission.

Regarding Patterns
For sensu made using kimono or tenugui fabrics, the appearance of the pattern may vary depending on how the fabric is cut.
As a result, the placement and nuance of the design may differ slightly from the photographs shown.
Each piece is therefore unique — we hope you will enjoy the individuality of your sensu.
Boxes, Gift Wrapping & Noshi Paper
We are pleased to advise on suitable boxes, noshi paper, and wrapping options to complement your sensu order.
For gift purposes, we also offer presentation bags, including paper and plastic options.
Please let us know your preference.
*Noshi is traditional Japanese ceremonial gift wrapping used for formal occasions.
